Discovery Time

Our play-based learning at discovery time has been a big hit with the children.

It has been wonderful to see their creativity. We changed our sewing activity, from a template craft to a free-play activity.  Sarah provided hessian that is cut into different shapes and sizes, along with needles and different colour wool for the children to use.  They are able to create anything that they like and she helps them if needed. It has been fantastic to see the variety of creations that they have made, from bags to soft toys, stationery holders and much more. Here are some of their creations:

Thank you, Sarah, for your fantastic help. We are very lucky to have your support.

We also provided the children with various shaped wooden offcuts, shells and glue guns and let them be creative.  They amazed us with what they designed and built. We had castles, planes, trophies, towers, furniture and dolls, amongst other things.  Here are some of their creations:

If you have any shells, wood or fabric offcuts that you could donate to our school, we would really appreciate them.
