Problem solving about time

Every Thursday and Friday, Te Mihi Community takes part in collaborative workshops about time.

Students self-assessed against some criteria to decide which workshop would suit their learning needs the best. We are learning a variety of time-related things. Mrs Graham’s group focus quite a bit on problem-solving. This was our latest problem from nzmaths.co.nz at Level 3 of the curriculum - perfect for Year 5 and 6 students. We had some great discussions in small groups. It was exciting to find out who was right and frustrating when we were slightly off! We all enjoyed persevering to get the final answers.
