We Swim Like Fish

Room 13 students participated in the School swimming programme which focuses on developing children’s ability to swim confidently in water.

This programme is aligned with the Health and Physical Education curriculum by providing regular physical activities in the pool, allowing students to participate in games and activities to develop swimming skills and adopt simple safety practices for them to use in their local environment.

When students arrive at the A.C. Baths the students are put into groups according to their ability and learning needs. They then practice and learn skills that will support them to develop their swimming ability and go to the next level. After two weeks the students feel like they can confidently, swim like fish.

At the end of the sessions, the students are taken through safety practices that they can use in the lake or at the beach. The children had an amazing time working together as a team to complete the task.
